Recently, Shi Xingguo, the founder of Hyperchain, accepted an interview with Shucang123 and interpreted the “14th Five-Year Plan” for the Development of Shanghai’s Digital Economy issued by the Shanghai Government.
In the interview, Shi Xingguo said, “Firstly, Shanghai’s proposal to support exploring the construction of NFT trading platforms, is definitely confirmed the saying previously that Shanghai was intending to establish a digital industry sandbox. This also shows that the development of the digital economy-related industry is a long-term plan of the Shanghai government and will be launched at an appropriate time and pace. Secondly, the full document is further elaborated within the framework of the national 14th Five-Year Plan. Shanghai is leading the way for the whole country, which means that it will provide certain support in relevant policies and make more innovative attempts in promoting the digital economy industry. With clear policy direction, if China’s digital industry can compete with other countries in the international market, there will be opportunities to get us ahead in the worldwide surge of digitization”.
The “14th Five-Year Plan” for the Development of Shanghai’s Digital Economy mentioned, “support leading companies to explore the construction of NFT (non-fungible token) trading platforms, research and promote the digitization of assets such as NFTs, the global circulation of digital intellectual property, and digital rights protection, and carry out trials in Shanghai.” It also emphasized the development of blockchain open-source platforms, commercial models such as NFTs, and accelerating the digital transformation and application of virtual digital assets, art, intellectual property, games, and other fields.
